Barberology Battle Rules

Fastest Fade: 15 minutes

  • Model must have a minimum of a #2 guard on top
  • No pre-cut or shape up prior to battle
  • Judging will be on speed, blend and overall cut


Under 21: 30 minutes

  • Must be between 18 and 21 years in age
  • No pre-cut or shape ups prior to battle
  • Models must have a full head of hair
  • Judging will be on blend, shape, creativity and difficulty of the haircut


Creative Design: 45 minutes

  • No pre-cut or shape up prior to the battle
  • Colour enhancements are allowed
  • Judging will be based on creativity and complexity of the design, and integration of overall haircut


Freestyle: 30 minutes

  • Any cut is acceptable
  • Colour enhancements are allowed
  • Judging will be based on overall look, suitability and execution


Tag Team: 30 minutes

  • Barbers will work in teams of two to create finished look
  • Colour enhancements are allowed
  • Barbers will take turns on the model and will switch every 5 minutes
  • Judging will be based on teamwork, difficulty and overall creativity
